Someone told me as long as you don't get caught by mod weath or whatever his name is, you should be good. Is this true? Because the average time I run bots are 9pm 6am their time.

It's definitely something they might look at if you bot at night. But they won't use that to ban you by itself, but I can imagine it definitely ticks a box somewhere.

Do we know if detection is automatic or are their other factors? I haven't botted in 6 or so months so im not up to date with all this anymore.

 They don't have an automated ban system for oldschool, they have an automated detection system. All accounts are reviewed by Mod Weath before he dishes out the ban.
