What does the "LOW CPU" option underneath "Settings" in "Advanced settings" do exactly?

It makes the Runescape client sleep every so often to lower the framerate and the amount of processing power needed. It drops it to around 8 - 10 FPS and saves approximately half of your CPU usage.
