Texas Justice department database

This link is a database of executed offenders and you can also find a database of the offenders on Death Row on that same website.

This database includes the summary of the incident and their last words when executed.

Even though I'm not against death penalty (what we call in french "peine capitale"), I don't like this at all, I believe last words are private and should be communicated exclusively to the family of the offenders.

Express your thoughts on offenders's privacy made public or this database in general!

C'est horrible.

Last words, even of a prisoner, should only be heard by his closest ones.

Damn, does it say anywhere how they got executed?

yes they have a nice history page where they say that they don't hang people anymore since *insert year* and that after using the chair for *Xyears*, they're now proudly using lethal injections

Ignorance is bliss when it comes to these issues tbh.. (as in it's better not to know in my opinion because it's honestly quite saddening..).

cant believe some of the stuff that these people do :o i live in texas too

Absolutely horrendous, this is confidential information. Innocent family and friends of the Death Row inmate WOULD NOT want this information to be publicized. Nothing is private anymore... nothing. Disgusting.

That's what I think too, even if the offender is/was the worst man there is (and again, I'm not against death penalty), he still has to be treated as a man

why should you have the right to privacy when you don't have the right to live, there victims families probably never heard last words from there loved ones.  the death penalty requires premeditation which means you planed and executed a murder, however  they are granted the right to give last words before execution. They know its coming and i believe if they can plan a murder they can plan there last words to the public its not a private session with a loved one its a last proclamation to the public usually either an apology or final plea of innocence. shoot em, hang em, fry em, gas em, inject em it doesn't matter there is no reason to spend 10s of thousands of tax dollars a year on some one who will never be free and has committed a capital crime. its simple u want to live in Texas don't murder people.
