OSBot Ban Rate?

Featured Replies

Hey Guys! :D
So I want to get the same stats I had on runescape but on Old Runescape and I've made the decision to bot them :).
I just got a question, what is the ban rate like? I've never botted before and was just curious :3

Love the website, very nice!

Regards Wickii

Depends on if you use or abuse the bot.

Welcome to OSBot, enjoy your stay!

If you need help, feel free to ask. We have lots of helpful members in this community.

The ban rate of OSBot.org according to Jagex is 9.387% of all users.

Nah just kidding, don't use populated/obvious spots.

Awesome thanks for the warm welcoming!

So you mean like instead of the cows in lumby, go to the cows near the crafting guild? :o

The ban rate depends on how you use the bot.

If you're botting 12 hours a day, your ban rate is pretty high.

If you're taking the needed precautions then I doubt you'll be banned.

Some of these precautions would include:

*Babysit your bot; check on every hour or two.

*Bot with common sense. Don't leave your bot on too long.

Hello, welcome to osbot! I decided to find some help leveling my account as well and honestly I'm really appreciative of all that osbot has given me. My tips to avoid getting banned are:

Avoid populated places and those with known high ban rates, such as a lot of woodcutting or fishing spots.

Enable breaks as you see fit.

Check up on your bot often; I use this app on my phone called LogMeIn so I can check up and control my home computer even when I'm away. Teamviewer is also a good app with this function. Look to see that your bot isn't stuck or anything and that there are not many other people around you, also type something in game from time to time.

Most of the bans given out are by jmods personally visiting some highly populated botting locations, so if you avoid those and check up on your bot often you'll be fine.

Welcome aboard @xWickii! If you bot smartly, you most likely won't have any trouble! Like people said, don't abuse it and avoid most common/populated places people bot at, good luck!

Coming from someone who has botted since 2008 with various bots, I have recieved a total of 4 bans.  Two were from using wBot for flax 24/7 and got permabanned for goldfarming.  The other 1 was from Advertising other bots isn't allowed. in a heavily botted area that I knew Jagex was cracking down on and had actually seen mods there.  The other ban was a 1 day from bot busting, when I logged in I was at wizards tower indicating OSbot fucked up a random but that was over a week ago and randoms are damn near flawless now.   Basically what I am trying to say is if you don't do things that make it obvious you are botting you're will not get banned.  Also I think it's important to note I ALWAYS 24/7 I have never botted in shifts, with breaks etc...  Personal experience would say it doesn't matter how much you bot so much as where you bot and the quality of the bot.

most of the fishing spots have high ban rates, sorry. You also were pretty unlucky if you just started on the same day; I got 10mil wc exp before my first ban. Jagex is also laying down the ban hammer more frequently now it seems.

That's unlucky.

I've heard that Jagex Moderators have been going around banning manually. The best method is to bot during the day when one can babysit.

Leaving a bot overnight in a high-ban rate area without checking it for several hours in one of the top 5 ways to get banned

if people report you and you continue to bot for several hours without logging out then it is likely yull be ban

Not sure how true that is, I have had many people message me hey I reported you earlier you were obviously botting etc...

Banned twice on my OSRS acc, both from being stuck in a random or failing a random and being teleported then standing in that spot for hours on end.
