Alternate ways to pay for Scripts and Store items

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I was wondering if it would be possible to implement other ways of buying Store Credit and Scripts from OSBot. I know that you can buy vouchers from sellers, but I find that vouchers usually have a certain fee for buying from them. For example, if I want to buy a 100$ voucher from the store, it might cost me 125$ to buy the voucher from someone. If the Devs/Staff could implement other ways of payment (MoneyPak, Western Union, Prepaid credit cards, Google Wallet etc), it would make it much easier for people like me (who don't have a PayPal) to buy store credit and ranks and scripts.

Cheers!

I think alternate payment methods are very helpful for people like me who don't have PayPal and don't want to have to be upcharged to buy a voucher

Same here. I don't have a PP and I figured that I can't be the only one so I came up with that suggestion. However, it seems like it wasn't very popular..

hmm that's quite strange, i don't see any reason as to why alternative methods of payment would be so frowned upon

That's what I thought, lol. It could only really help them with increased sales, but idk. Maybe there's another reason we don't know about?

buy vouchers for rsgp at a small mark up or get a ppal

paypal can be very annoying to use at times, especially for those that aren't 18 years or older, then you get all kind of limitations (even phone calls) and linking a bank to an account can get very tedious, it's just impractical and what @RoomScape is saying is that there should be more payment methods to cater for other peoples' needs.

For someone like me, who isn't 18 yet, it is very hard to use PayPal. I have various limitations and whatnot, and it is not feasible for me to use it as a way for payment. I also do not have the time, money, or will to start up an RS membership account where I can store RSGP for transactions. Alternate payments methods like prepaid cards, which I can pay cash for down at my local 7/11, can be very helpful

Can staff please make a comment on this?
