According to Jagex, the f2p trial ends August 28th, which after that they will assess the whole trial and if it was a success and what not. My guess is that if they do make it permanent, they will get sloppy and goldfarming will increase. Right now they got us by the balls, let's just hope they'll loosen the grip on August 28th.

If there's no free trial for rs 2007, then it will slowly die due to lack of introduction.
