Memory Usage

Featured Replies

Hey,

Currently sitting at around 500+MB (1 client) and leaking a little bit. That's a little bit much. I believe the memory usage of OSBot 2 was lower at one point in time than it is now.

Can this be looked into optimizing.

Thank you

Yeh, I'm having similar issues too. But I'm upgrading computer in a while, so who knows if its that or my computer.

LOL this is 2014 u whine about 512mb ? lmfao the standard for 2014 should be 8GB Ram or 4GB min

Lol? You obviously have no idea what's going or here or you are clueless about what you're talking about.

Are you certain that it is the client and not the scripts using too much memory? What scripts have you tested it on? Also, what methods are you using to test the memory usage of the client? ^_^

This would also help. but mem usage really isn't effected for me unless I run a factory such as SSF or something similar.

Yeah I'm using a big ol' SSF script wink.png  I think some scripts definitely contribute to the memory usage, but are the scripters expected to fix this? ohmy.png

It is also possible that the SSF could be using an excess of memory and leaking memory. Does the ram usage constantly go up the entire time that you are using the client, or does it level out at some point? And does this issue only happen when using SSF scripts?

It doesn't really go up at a constant rate, it seems to kind of go up by chunks at a time. I think  stopping/starting script and opening/closing the client tab, etc. messes with it after a number of times. It lasts hours before it gets really bad and just kind of freezes at like 1GB haha. Maybe ill try changing the memory allocation setting.

Btw I don't use any other scripts but SSF and I can't really be bothered to create a new account to test it right now. I'm sure most other scripts use slightly less RAM. What is the RAM usage on your client and what script are you running? Thanks for your concern so far.

Well I use my own scripts. I actually track how much ram my script is using inside of the code. For my agility script that I am working on at the moment, it typically doesn't go much above 300 MB before the garbage collector cleans it up. Usually it goes between 100-300 MB.
