Angles EFG and EDG are right angles because the lines are tangential to the circles. Use pythagorean theorem to find missing side. There's my hint tongue.png

Since EG is an external tangent of the circle G, we know that the angle EDG is 90 degrees. So, apply pythagoras theorem on the triangle EDG to find that the length ED = sqrt(EG^2 - GD^2) = sqrt(1600) = 40. Furthermore, by symmetry you have DC = FA = 55. Hence EC = ED + DC = 40 + 55 = 95.

I don't see the point of you asking for help on a skill mastery test.

The point is that I'm in summer school, and once I get these done I'm out.

 

Dude, that's EXACTLY the same excercise as the first one, just numbers are different...

 

EDIT:

 

1) Find out the length of AF throught Pythagoras theorem.

2) Add up the result of 1) with FE (26) and you got your solution.
