I think if you get guthans you can just leave it in nightmarezone since guthans heals you

So, I'm working on a main right now, and I want to eventually get maxed melee combat + level slayer, so this is what I'm wondering:

 

1) Should I invest in Guthan's or SGS?

2) Is ASG mainly just used for PvM?

3) If training in NMZ, would it be better to use whip + prayer gear for attack / defense, or does SGS have training style for attack & defense?

 

I think that's all I'm wondering for now
