Client Closing

Featured Replies

When my internet disconnects for a moment the bot will sign out and the client will crash even though my internet is up again.

Laz said that the memory leak was fixed, is there another problem? Or isn't it fixed?

Thnx

Using latest version?

Yes, I've had this problem for about a month I thought it was the memory leak bug

Also have this problem! It randomly exits. Please make exceptions log to the OSBot folder, System.setErr().

This will happen all the time if you have bad internet, I'm considering buying VIP but I need this fixed first! FIX THIS ASAP.

Just crashed randomly in abby's

This is fucked man..

You should have the client log exceptions so we can fix stuff like this easier. Please do this. This will make exceptions log to a txt file, but they won't log to the console. Would make these error threads so much helpful.

System.setErr(new PrintStream(new FileOutputStream(getHomeDirectory() + "OSBot/err.txt", true)));

The memory leak isnt fixed:

This can be a number of issues:

#1) Your client can close due to an overload in your CPU, OR a lack of Memory (Generally caused by a memory leak) thus causing your computer to overload and force close the client.

Known causes for the CPU overload:

  •  #2
  •  #3
  •  #4
  •  Adverts (If you are a free user), yes these adverts indeed help with this issue.
  •  Having other programs open can cause this event to occur, just make sure you are not over clocking your CPU.
#2) Your connection is having difficulties connecting to the server in which you leave your PC, you log out and you continuously attempt to connect to the OSBot servers which causes a massive increase to your CPU Usage which then increases the chance of #1 (CPU Overload) happening.

#3) Your connection is having difficulties stabilizing and continues to disconnect/connect to the server, in which you go Online/Offline constantly. This effect causes a massive increase to your CPU Usage which then increases the chance of #1 happening.

#4) The server itself is having trouble stabilising and is either under a DDoS attack in which you cannot connect to the server and the above happens.

The other reason (the lack of memory) are a mixture of things:
  • Your computer is literally a toaster and doesn't have enough memory to support OSBot.
  • Your computer can't handle the Memory Leak bug on OSBot currently.
  • Your computer has been left on for way too long and the available physical memory is close to nothing.

Hopefully this helps. Regards,

- OSBot Staff Team.
