This is what I would expect from them. Why would a newly made account buy a bond? (Not that they wouldnt but it really looks suspicious imo).

OT:

Not to mention that woodcutting is not exactly the first skill new players train lol, but that might not reason into the ban since you could argue that it was a skiller.

You have to take into account those things though since they most likely do. Look at it from their perspective, they'll try to analyze everything about an account to detect if it is a bot(if they truly want to rid of them).

I know this is a common belief, but Jagex simply doesn't have the manpower to assign a ton of people to inspect individual cases. 90% of bans are bot buster, 10% are report. They discuss it on the mod forums a lot (irl friend). A lot of the pmods are mad that Jagex doesn't dedicate more resources to catching botters. Chances are, he was IP-flagged, or moved to botting world. Still sucks m8, get fresh IP and try again!

I've had countless macroing major bans and have even had six bots chainbanned because I was running them all from the same PC. No bans today though despite farming gold for over 30+ hours on two accounts that I started last tuesday (when my accounts were all banned).

Most cases are reviewed by an automated system and then a JMod to finalize the ban.

I'm speaking more from a perspective of RS3 I suppose. But still, I don't think such a large percent could be bot busting. There's quite a lot of people banned per day and I can't see them taking the time to manually ban all of these people. I'm sure that a majority are from being IP-Flagged but being caught in the first place would have to be detected in some way if a bot bust didn't occur.

I can see where reports could play a big role, but what about random events? It wouldn't take much effort at all for them to flag you if you failed x amount of random events. If they are moving people to these "botting worlds," something about their account is being analyzed :/.

Ive Botted Chins 60-89 no ban. Botted straight for 15-16 hrs. lol

U will get banned

U will get banned

i already hit 99 :p then i got banned on the bot nuke....

I got banned after 10 seconds of running a merchbot, I lost like 10m.  Heres what happened:

-I made a fresh account on rs3, transferred a bond from my mule

-Did tutorial by hand on oldschool b/c i was putting 10m on the acct

-Transfered a bunch of items to sell with merchbot

-Walked to edgeville by hand (from varrock)

-Started a merchbot (on another site but is premium and doesn't have many users at all)

- Jerked off

-Came back to my account banned (~10 minutes later)

-WTFFFFFFFFF

Perm banned...

And it was my home IP which I re-set earlier that day so it was never botted on, as all my other accounts were on proxies.

Yes, because a transfer of 10m on a Fresh account that immediately starts merching doesn't look suspicious at all.

There is no such thing as 'IP flagging', only Account flagging. If IP flagging was a real thing people would be getting banned for illegitimate reasons ALL the time.

IE: Joe Shmoe down the street has a gold farm and resets his IP, and I do the same; I get his IP. I don't bot, but my 'IP is flagged', so I am accused of botting because Joe's IP is now mine. Later, I find my main account is banned.

All of the accounts I have bought membership by using bonds got banned within 2 weeks, and my bots that I paid membership with real life cash lasted for longer than 2 months.

I believe IP bans do exist, because I got banned on my botted pure then logged in on my legit main account with the same IP and got banned, never botted on it.

Well funny thing is I xfer 10m to merch bot everyday and i never had this issue.

Also I just said in my post that it was after 3 seconds of sending messages obviously a real person wasn't in charge of that ban.

As for your example of "Joe Shmoe" As long as that account ran no macros, nor traded the botted accounts. yes your right because of that fact that people share IPs at school, or public places they can't ban based on IP alone but they most certainly evaluate those accounts more carefully.

If you've had a bot farm of 10+ accounts for even a few hours you would realize that they do chain bans when you have 10 accounts botting on the same IP.  Simply set up some proxies and they won't chainban anymore.

If you honestly think that if you have 10 accounts and you just don't make them look like bob and use good breaks your in the clear then I KNOW you've never ran more than 5 accounts before on the same IP because doing this will get them all banned in like 12 hrs

One thing wrong about this

You think jagex looks through 50k accounts to see what the first skill they trained?, I think not.

That was merely an example, and a very realistic one.

But since you posted your nice little meme, I'll elaborate on this example. Now obviously they may not track the first skill trained or whether or not a new account has purchased a bond, but you people are really underestimating how easily these two things or anything with analyzing or flagging an account can be done. I mean ffs, a simple: (considering you can understand it[i explained in case])

int firstTrainedSkill = -1; // some variable in the player reference object. Is -1 when the player reference object is first instantiated.

public void addXP(int skill, int exp) {
  ..... // before code
  if(firstTrainedSkill == -1) { // if the player has never trained a skill or had xp added
    firstTrainedSkill == skill;
    reviewFirstTrainedSkill();
  }
  ..... // after code
}

public void reviewFirstTrainedSkill() {
  int[] goldFarmingSkills = new int[] {8,10,14,15}; // woodcutting, fishing, mining, herblore
  for(int skill : goldFarmingSkills) {
    if(firstTrainedSkill == skill)
       botFlags += 1; // let's assume they keep a count of each time you're flagged??
  }
}

You can't just assume that because something seems unrealistic to you, that it is to them. If I were them I'd be doing shit like this all the time just to add better recognition of bots, but hey, that's just me. MAYBE they really don't care that much.

Now let's think about what would happen if they did do this, along with flagging for buying the new bond or transferring money from a mule, and immediately training a skill to a high level without training others. It's like players are asking for bans imo...
