Possible memory leak - client freezes (hits 0 fps) 30 minutes to 1 hour in of running a script.

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm running a gold farm on a VPS (virtual private server) and I have a bit of an issue. 30-60 minutes in of running a script my client hits 0 fps and freezes. Sometimes I can logout of my OSBot account inside of the client, sometimes I can't.

I've tried:

  • Reinstalling RuneScape and OSBot (deleting ALL files, apart from local.dat which probably has nothing to do with it)
  • Using multiple scripts
  • Downgrading my OSBot version

Anyone got an idea why this is happening? Thanks..

EDIT:

System specs:

Ubuntu release 12.04 (64 bit)

RAM : 1024MB

Processor(s): Intel Xeon CPU L5420 @ 2.50GhZ x 4 (4 processors)

EDIT 2:

Just trying using "Low CPU" on OSBot and not even that worked.. getting a bit fed up with this. :/

Do you get any error messages when it freezes?

Nope, no error messages. Considering my VPS OS is Ubuntu I have to open up terminal and use the xkill command to just kill the process.

Damn!, that CPU load is high.

Okay so last question, what is the script normally doing when it freezes ?

Nothing, just freezes in place at whatever it's doing, most of the time it's fishing, and I don't mind, you can ask as many questions as you like. Thanks for helping me out. :)
