February 23, 201411 yr Just curious, what happens if you get reported for botting? As in what Jagex will do, does anyone know? Someone just told me they reported me. Should I stop botting for like 12hours before continuing?
February 23, 201411 yr Jagex will start watching your account, if they haven't been already. If they find that you're botting, they'll ban you. Reports aren't 100%, I think, but who knows.
February 23, 201411 yr How can they see if you're botting? XP rates? Hours played? Or can they detect a botprogram or script or.. The way your mouse moves, screen rotates? What can they 'see'?
February 23, 201411 yr ur being paranoid smoke some crack it might help Thank you for your useful and highly educated comment. I appreciate it.
February 23, 201411 yr Doesn't hurt to stop for about an hour or two, there's been many instances where a faggot follows me and says reported for botting, i really don't give a shit and I've never been banned as of yet
February 23, 201411 yr And as for the paranoid comment. Why is there an anti-ban on scripts such as rotating screen and moving cursor, switching tabs and checking xp?
February 23, 201411 yr How can they see if you're botting? XP rates? Hours played? Or can they detect a botprogram or script or.. The way your mouse moves, screen rotates? What can they 'see'? Bot detection programs. I'm pretty sure they can see what your mouse does, but not sure. They can see everything about your acc, xp gained in x amount of time, time online on a specific day, what you do and everything. They don't normally use that to ban, they use their bot system. It detects repetitive movement and other stuff that would suggest that you're botting and then they will watch it more closely. If they're sure you're a bot, they ban. There are also bot busting mods who walk around looking for bots and perm them.
February 23, 201411 yr And as for the paranoid comment. Why is there an anti-ban on scripts such as rotating screen and moving cursor, switching tabs and checking xp? So that you can seem more human like. Bots didn't use to do that in the past so they do it now to seem more human like. When you're skilling legit, you normally move the screen, hover your mouse over stuff, right click on stuff, check stuff out and etc. The anti-ban replicates those movements so that the bot detection system believes your human, to a degree.
February 23, 201411 yr Author I've been botting combat for over 1 month 24/7 without getting banned (with breaks). I'm afew more lvls from 99str and with the recent perm bans for first offenses, Im getting more paranoid by the day. I thought mods would come invisible to watch a player if they got reported, or maybe use their new anti bot system to "zoom" in on the reported player. But this seems quite impossible, with the huge amount of people being reported and the lack of old school staff. Nevertheless, don't wanna take chances with my account, its been with me for like 6 years or so legit, never botted before. Only started botting when old school came out as I cbf to legit all my levels again.
