Faster Script Running

Featured Replies

In order to run scripts faster, you should make the local scripts automatically reload on opening the panel that chooses which script you want to run.

Also, a button to run the last script you ran should be added.

This wouldn't be an API suggestion. This would go under another forum. Also now that these two are arguing on this thread it's information is quite useless.

It's been moved now. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I think that reloading scripts shouldn't be automatic because It would be much faster for it to only reload them when it needs to, running the last ran script is a nice feature though.

There could be an option in the settings whether or not to automatically reload local scripts

But the only time it's going to be useful is when you are making your own script and even then, you are only loosing about half a second for the time it takes to click the reload button but if it automatically reloads then every time you don't want to reload your scripts, you are wasting a couple of seconds.

Those seconds add up when you keep debugging your script for issues to make sure its flawless. It would be much better to have an option to reload scripts automatically.

There would be no point to that if scripts were never updated, so it is better to manually click it imo.

That lazy to click two things instead of one?

It just hinders you when you're developing scripts. I'm used to 1 clicking to re-run scripts instead of:

  1. Clicking start
  2. Clicking refresh
  3. Clicking the script
  4. Clicking your account to use
  5. Clicking OK

That takes much longer than just a 'reload last script with last settings' button.

Hinders you no more than 15 seconds. For me it is a lot less.

It would be nice to have that a development mode option.

15 seconds to debug something over and over takes a while. Doing it 4x takes a minute more of your time. Doing it 20x takes 5 minutes of your time.

i would like to see a page with alll local scripts on it, not in different sections like combat or mining, but on one page

I fully support this. This would make it so much easier for script writers to test and develop scripts properly and efficiently.

I have to disagree, this is completely pointless. There is no time wasted, besides the OSBot developers time to put this pointless feature in.
