Freezes after ADD only after login

im running this on a mac, when i press new before login it says you must login, after login it freezes the whole client and makes it not respond, and waiting does nothing. Please help? 

*not ADD like in the title i meant NEW*

Try downloading the latest version of java, then try installing the client again. If not contact an admin.
