Honestly, though, it's all about representation. You can have the best idea in the world and not get any support if you have shit representation.

On the other hand, someone else can have possibly the worst idea in the world but represent it so clearly and professional that people will have no choice but to put some trust into what he's saying.

That's how it is with business and that's how marketing goes. If you can't market your idea properly and someone else can, they're more likely going to go with whoever represents them self along with their idea the best.
