How to set up OsBot on CentOS VPS ?

Featured Replies

Can some one please make me a guide how to set up OsBot on CentOS. As Linux takes much less resources than Windows, it could be awesome to run bot on Linux based VPS.

I did try to search the forums, but found nothing. Thanks!

Don't you just download Java, maybe set up environment variables if needed, and run the client? I assume you do not have a GUI; correct?

No GUI :/

Can you make me step by step guide as I am lil fagnub :)

It's pretty simple.

Install java (e.g yum install java-1.7.0-openjdk and 1.7.0-sun), and then you just need to run the jar file, which can be done through 'java -jar <jarfile>', if you need more help pm me your skype

Linux uses less resources??? My bot leaks memory + CPU, leaks up to 1.1gb of memory on ubuntu/centos (depending on script) within 20h and I must then restart the bot. On windows it leaks up to .5gb max. Waiting for osbot 2.0 to be released and leakage should be fixed then, otherwise I might look for another client.
