Trading between two of your accounts - advice/question

Featured Replies

Hey there, I've been trading and transfering between my two accounts pretty much recently. I know It's officially against the rules and it risks you getting banned. However I can't see this happening... because It's such a minor thing in my opinion. But a minute ago a reply appeared in a thread where he said that he got banned for doing exactly this, and the offence was goldfarming.

Can I continue to do it or is it stupid? How do Jagex catch you doing this, and what's the chance? If I risk much by doing this, how should I do it in a better way in the future? Maybe I can run one account on my laptop and the other one my stationary PC if that helps?

I'm looking for advice on this. Please help me out!

make sure you put items in the trade like if u give 1 account 5m put in a rune plate and some other random shit i got banned 2 days ago for 200 usd worth in items/gold

Thanks I haven't done this but it sounds smart. By the way does Jagex ban you immediately if they catch you doing anything like this or similar to botting, or do they wait a couple of weeks until they've gathered a few hundreds account and then do a ban sweep on everyone?

I mean if I've been registered for trading between accounts or botting already and maybe will get a ban in the future. It would be interesting to know what type of method Jagex uses when catching bots.

Cheers!

I don't believe that really makes a difference, because if Jagex was looking into your account they would know that a simple rune platebody is not worth 5m. If Jagex decides to investigate your account, then you basicly would be screwed. There is no way around this as they have logs of everything. This is one of the risks of botting. The chances of you getting investigated by Jagex are very slim but there is always that possibility.

I just thought of this, but..what if you were to advertise "Drop party" Let some people follow you. Then stand there with 2 of your accounts and let everyone leave. Go upstairs somewhere (Hop worlds, optional) and drop the money, items.

I have been trading between my own accounts since 2004 and never had any black marks / bans. If you don't feel comfortable doing it you could drop trade or even stake the goods.

It could be your own brother giving you 200M cash as your birthday present. I don't think they ban trades that easy. If you are trading huge amounts with different people very often, thats a more likely ban reason.

Lmfao doing it for so long did it for a lot of GP odds are nothing will happen do under 10m at a time though on 07 maybe? I know on EOC if it is 300m or more in a trade they instantly look into account.

I'm doing this with same account from february 2013, and still not banned.  Transfered over 3b

They try to check trades that are cash trades with nothing from the other partner, so put in some junk items.

It doesn't matter if you drop trade or just straight up trade, they have logs for everything.
