Jagex back in action starting from today. Bans already incoming

Featured Replies

Bro, you basically just said right there that no J Mod was available during the whole christmas break.? Bots would have been banned no matter what.

I'm just reading what you guys are saying here and I just lol'd

I think that Jagex actually is charging they lazors, look out for banwave in next few days...

Not banned so far 2 fishing bots @ guild

How long you've been botting for?

In all honesty i don't think there will be any major bans until mid next week after jagex have been back for a couple of days, but keep your eyes and ears open for the ban posts and we will see what happens.

Just cut your ours and make sure you baby sit.

With multiple banwaves reported since their return and an apparent anti botting team "meetup" next week it for definite now that Jagex are back in action, markets will now begin to stabilise again and certain items are already steadily starting to rise.

Christmas botting was fun! Goodluck to everyone in the fight in 2014.

I have already suffer 2 ban waves in 2014, 18 accounts banned so far

Lost 9 bots and a main, 10m all together

Just a little insight on how it works, it's not a so called "banhammer spree" or "jagex finally woke up"

Jagex WANTS botters, how else do they make up membership costs from players that quit over the years.

BUT if there are to many (inflation) it makes an impact on the prices/community, so they have to step in and get it under control

Just like a riot, they ban a few here and there, maybe main accounts so that goldfarmer will quit and give up, whatever the reason.

Jagex will ALWAYS want botters, but not so many that it hurts the game, they still need legit players to.

i remember seeing a jag mod discussing that bots help the community in certain ways, but as per there policy to NEVER allow cheaters, they still have to stop them when they can.

Believe me if jagex wanted to ban every bot in rs, all they have to do is teleport everywhere that has a botting spot, and start banning.

But they dont! They go to certain spots only!, like Pest control for alchers, or Green drags, for drag bots. They NEVER do multiple places because they know they will loose money banning to many of them.

I have literally never thought of it like that before, and it makes complete sense! This really reminds me of the way humans make the BS excuse for hunting seasons, where they annually kill deers so they won't "overpopulate" .

Was this today?

Very sorry for your loss buddy, Runescape botting is not what it was I'm afraid.

I'm cool with jagex getting rid of bots, the game would be more fun to play without fucking the economy. That being said, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
