Road to a pker

Featured Replies

So after 2 years of playing runescape i have never seriously pked before.
I will be having a 70att, 70+str, 1def account to start with.
Do you guys have any suggestions to begin pking? Any guides for example?
Should i start in duel arena (friendly staking) first?

why 70 attack? and practice makes perfect, yeah go duel arena.

Well i got 60 attack now, wanted to go for 75 for whip..

Yeah i think i will do that :)

75 is godsword you meen 70 lol and nah don't go private server all of them nothing like 07 combat

practising in duel arena with friend is the best way to come better :P

you can practice with melee pures in edge too, because your risk wont be to much.  learn the F# hotkeys and get your inventory set up in a way you like

go to private servers to get confidence...
Those who say its nothing like 07 have a point but its not the technique you learn there, its the confidence.
You need to follow hp, prayer on your account and on the opponents account hp. You will need to know your limits and potential.
After 2-3 days you get enough confidence to pk on OSRS but "safe" first fights and learn your limits. In other case you probably will die 4-5 times in vain.
GL on your journey :)

Also if you're using a pure, most pure pkers are better on private servers than on RS.

If you go on a hybrid Pserver, (I believe we cannot say names of servers on here, so I won't name them off), then you can practice main hybridding with kids who are better than most you will run into on RS as well.

Long story short, spend a week practicing your pk style and then go for the real thing.

I wouldn't get 70 atk. Also try making something that can pk throughout it's life without need milestones like 70/70/1/70 etc. For instance maybe a no prayer hybrid that will turn into a 70/70 etc later on. A single account can be used for many types of pkers. Hybrids can do anything from gmauling/ancients/comboing and THEN become a 70/atk/str pker. Also I highly recommend staying 60 atk. That's over 4 combat levels for a SS or whip, you'll probably use a dds anyway. Just a few suggestions.

70+ attack if you plan on clanning bro otherwise if it's purely pking stay 50/60

Clanning ain't so good, you get to split with a lot of other players. I would say him to go with purely pking.

I don't understund why people go for whip when they use it, the xp is balanced to every stat making att even higher while using the whip.
