Here's a great workout I came across: What One Round Consists Of 45 seconds on 15 seconds rest How to Use Effectively Do 5+ rounds of one particular exercise (Ex. pushups, pullups, burpees) Stay consistent with the reps STAY WITH ONE EXERCISE for all 5+ rounds Example Complete 5+ rounds of your exercise going 45 seconds on 15 seconds off Immediately after completion of the last round rest 15 seconds then switch your exercise Complete 5+ rounds again Repeat for all the exercises your doing
December 10, 201312 yr For those of you reading this who do not know what HIIT stands for is High Intensity Interval Training. We do a LOT of this in the Marine Corps except we tend to switch it up a bit. Sprint for 1/4 mile down a trail > 20 second breather > *3 different dynamic exercises > repeat for 2 hours. We also tend to do a lot of competitive training. 4 at a time will sprint up a steep mountain. Last 2 to arrive do it again. *Usually 3 dynamic exercises consist of: 1 upper body - push ups/sun gods 1 lower body - burpees/squats(jump squats)/lunges/buddy squats 1 abdominal - crunches/anchored situps/planks/buddy situps/leg lifts/hello dolleys/flutter kicks/etc... It is quite tough
