In all the years I have played rs (and botted) i've wondered what those files are. I've heard some of them are caching etc, but I bet Jagex gets some information from them too - random_(something).dat probably is when the user failed a random? :)

No lol, they're files used by the client.

 

Jagex isn't going to put a file on your computer when you fail a random. Why would they do that?
