Why shouldn't you go for AMD. The simple fact is they have much better performance for the price apart from for gaming. Give me some actual statistics for why you shouldn't use AMD.

Performance per euro spent is usually better. But once you get in the 200+ euro segment, possibly even earlier, they can't compete with Intel at all. If you want the best and got some money to spend get an intel processor. If you want something decent and you're poverty then you could go for AMD.

I'm converting 200 euros to £160

AMD has no CPUs in the ~£160 price range. The only  intel CPU I could find that was about the same price range as a 8320 was the i5 3330, which is £10 more expensive.

On CPUBenchamrk.net, that i5 got 5897 but the 8320 got 8134.

You also have to keep in mind that intel often changes the socket, so if you want an upgrade, you need to buy a whole new motherboard, but AMD has been using the same one for quite a few years now.

Some people on this site are retarded.

Decided to get the AMD FX 8320 computer with 8gb ram and 1.5tb hardrive. It seems as though it will be better for botting because of your previous post and the 8 cores it has.

How about energy costs? What is the temperature of AMD/Intel, what's the chance to burn AMD/Intel?

Just look at this video -

The 8350 beats the i7 3770k in general and in a lot of games it even performs better lol which is sad cause the i7 3770k is like $100 more. Ya the AMD is hotter and consumes more power (like 45wats more lol) but the amount of power consumption it uses compared to Intel is low, I highly doubt you would be paying for anything more. I mean I don't pay electricity bills or anything cause i'm only 15 but I know not much more. An as for the chance of burning either Intel or AMD is total bullshit, seriously even with the stock coolers that wouldn't happen and if it did you probably got a bad part + if your so worried spend the extra $20 and get a hyper 212 evo or something. Face it the AMD processors are better in general when your going for dollar to performance and even without that they perform better in general than the i7 3770k which lots of people seem to have. I mean if you want to spend $100 for like 4 fps more than be my guest.
