im really trying to avoid a ban but i have some mass production stuff i need to get done. im really trying to avoid a perm ban, so i have given up botting on my main, but my question is if i bot on my alt, and play on my main at the same time and my alt gets banned for botting. will it trace the ip to my main and ban it also? i will be botting smithing on my alt, please be honest and realistic! thanks!

I highly, highly doubt you would get IP banned for smithing. I've gotten 5 gold farming bans fishing, and I still bot on the same IP address. I am 99.9% sure you should be safe.

No it shouldn't make a difference. Besides, smithing has a low ban rate anyways.

If you do not bot on main, you won't be banned, even if you have 10 goldfarming bans from the same IP. Just DONT TRADE bots with main and DONT BOT on main.

Dunno what with past activity (if you was botting main), but think chances of ban are really low.

Comes from a experienced guy, who thought was immortal, but then found out his main got banned, while I wasn't even botting on it.

Always use different ip for your main/mule.

Nitrousek, did you trade your main with bots? I have main living for months, when more than 10 goldfarming bans were come from my IP.

Also, did you try to appeal on main? Are they really dont check anything???

you get ip banned for goldfarming (botting like 20-30 accounts) not for botting just 1-3

It has been reported before that if you are botting on an account and it gets banned, so are all of the other accounts logged in at the same time/on the IP.

Once you get a goldfarming ban on an IP, all of your other bans on that IP will be goldfarming perms and you will also be moderated more closely.
