Hey, I made a recent post asking whether botting with my account would be sensible if I was already banned on a previous account. Many replys said for me to change my IP address. How can I do this?

Can someone link me to a relevant tutorial or can someone talk me through it?

If dynamic IP, resetting router+modem should fix it (power off 15sec, then plug on again)

 

If static IP then it's a bit harder, call your ISP.

If you have a static ip call up the company..

 

If you don't, turn off the router, wait 30 seconds then turn it back on.

 

If you don't have access to the router (parents or whatever) , type in the router IP into the address bar, for example mine is 192.168.1.1 under the "advanced" settings, there should be something like this.

 

Click that, it will probably ask you for a user/password, default is admin:admin

 

It will reboot and you have a new IP.

There is only 1 way to change you ip address.

 

1.Router / Vpn / modem - These have NOTHING to do with your ip address, they have there own built in ip that change every time you log in to it,

 

2. Isp service, THIS is you ip address, the code coming from your isp through your telephone pole, to your house.

THIS is the ONLY ip address that you can't change without calling your provider, and THIS is the ip address jagex bans.

 

If jagex bans you main ip address the one you can't change, you must call your isp and have them change it, tell them you are getting ddos attacks and cant browse the internet

Thanks man, is there anything I can do to make botting on a fresh account less targetted? if that makes sence.. im worried im going to start botting my new fresh account and get banned within a couple of hours?

There are A LOT of tips i could give you for goldfarming and dodging ip bans ;p

 

Im not sure if im allowed to post them all here though... ill make a guide for it though.
