Method 1: This is my favorite, you can use your existing account if it is Silver.

 

Requirements:

Must be a US live account.

Must be silver.

Must have a payment option ( Paypal or CC. You will not be charged )

 

Step 1:

Step 2: Add your payment method and confirm purchase.

Method 2: This an old method - you can't use your existing account, this will be a new account.

You may only do this 3 times per XBox.

 

Requirements:

An email address

A payment method (Paypal, or CC)

 

Step 1: Create a new profile, and join xbox live

 

Step 2: Fill in all the details, when it ask if you if you want to upgrade to gold, select no.

 

Step 3: The next page will offer you a one month free gold trial, accept it and input payment information.

 

 

Step 4: Login to your live account and disabled auto-renew

 

Step 5: ???????

 

Step 6: PROFIT!
