What To Do When You Don't Really Care About Anything

Featured Replies

Tbh no one on this forum is going to impact you. No words anyone says can you reach you. You said it yourself, everything is meaningless but you posted this thread any ways because you want to get out of that state of emptiness. It's desperation.

Once you become fully empty your thought process slows down, you detatch yourself  from reality and friends and family. You hit rock bottom. Then you start craving those meaningless things like passing that subject or graduating from college. You'll crave the little things that life use to offer you before your mind crashed.

One day you'll wake up and want to make drastic changes in your life. One day you'll find meaning. Maybe through other means besides hobbies. Maybe through excersizing, college or making money.

You just NEED to do it for yourself. I hope one day you find what you're looking for.

(I've been there buddy)

P.S I wouldn't recommend smoking a jay in that mind-set. Sometimes weed can leave you with a bad case of anxiety rather than good vibes. Try to find peace within yourself before you find peace in drugs.

TzTok is a wise man. Also, drinking is horrible for you. Smoking weed is not and it will help you find out who you truly are as a person.

Your right guys, inhaling smoke into your lungs isn't bad for you at all. That's just a retarded statement.

Just my two shits cause smokers piss me off.

People who let smokers piss them off, piss me off.

if you really cant find a career that entertains you in any way, and all you do is sit there and dont do much then youd better start puffin some bud as youll find out all that stupid shit that you thought was boring and just wanted it to end will become entertaining, and dont listen to some one trying to advise you to do something with your life so much that they might as well be forcing you. That shit just makes you hate those type of people and whatever there forcing you to do. And if smoking weed aint your thing then youd really better find something because shits gonna really suck for you if you just waste away. And any one with any wisdom saying you need to figure things out yourself are right. Only you can decide what you like to do.

I've already tried weed 3 times but got a very bad reaction each time even though it was good stuff 2/3 times. My brain simply doesn't like it ;/

Also you need to start smoking weed.

Don't start smoking weed, don't take any drugs. They are only a hindrance to you're path of growth and I've been through some of the worst times of my life because of them. Smoking weed, yeah it "chills you out and you can think deeper" but after that hour is over, it has the opposite effect that's lasts longer in the times when you're actually living your truthful experience without any intoxicants. Weed speeds up the mind, which in turn leads you to wanting to slow the mind down, so you smoke more and more until it no longer servers you're chaotic mind which is when you then turn to harder drugs.

I totalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly understand where you're coming from. You're looking for a deeper meaning to life then the current experience that everyone is after, gaining money. Because what reason do we gain money? It's so we can buy things we want, which in turn make us happy. Why do they make us happy? Because we feel happiness inside when we receive an object of our desire. Why do we feel happiness inside? Because we create it within our own body. A dead material object or a bank digit on a screen doesn't make us happy, we create the happiness in reaction to it.

This is what lead me to spirituality, to gain control over our emotions and for a deeper meaning to life. I for one am sick of how the majority of people haven't got a clue as to why they are doing what they are doing, they are simply plodding along with not even the slightest thought about what they are really doing. Gaining money, getting wasted on drugs/alcohol, work, repeat.

I lost most of my passion for things, i am in the same situation as you, not sure which direction to direct my energy. Health is what I've now taken an interest in. I can't say it's gripped me by the balls and it's my new passion, like some things have in the past, but it's nice to know that instead of my health declining over time like most people, it's actually getting better and i can only have a positive outlook on the future of my health.

So, perhaps health and spirituality could be an option for you to research into, you know, something that is essential to life as we know it and where you can experience a better future. Health is wealth ^^

Great advice Decmate. I for one wouldn't start smoking weed, this is hard to admit but hey it's the interwebz anyway. I'm pretty much addicted to weed because I didn't go to school for a year and smoked some everyday. Now I'm in school again and stuck with one of the biggest problems in my life so far. So I don't suggest smoking weed.

I've also been feeling better since I started working out again and I study a lot now for university. It gives me confidence, because I feel good about both of these things. I know I would feel good about quitting weed as well, so I'm in the process of quitting atm. Already quit cigs as well!

Spirituality is a cool thing to get into, it makes you think about not what you do, but WHY you do that certain thing. It can vary from body language to making choices in life. It's basically getting closer to yourself by stepping out of your comfort zone.

That's all for now.

Edit: Kanye said the following. Best advice ever 'bout drugs.

I'm 19 and have just graduated from high school. I have no dreams and visions about my future. There's nothing that I'm interested in working with and it has resulted in me not caring about school and failing at a subject. I have some leftovers to do but I don't care about doing them but eventually I will feel like I have to just because that I don't want to disappoint my parents. I've got no job but make decent money online (not from botting), more than enough to buy my own food and pay my father some rent since I live with him. The only things I do during the days are pretty much the same;  browse the internet, play video games with friends, watch tv series/movies, work out and some times a week I go out for a walk with a close friend of mine. I go out with my friends to drink or something like once a month. I just feel that everything is pointless and have had that feel for several years now. I can't imagine anything that would make me wish for the night to be over when going to bed just so I could wake up on a new day. I also don't feel like I deserved to be in the shtty school, I screened off from reality and just let the time go by. This stuck with me and it weakened me but since graduation, which was about 4 months ago, I've fully recovered. I just see everything so clearly, completely meaningless. Wut to do? There are no good answers, I know. But hopefully you enjoy your life.
