your opinion on this build?

Tbh, would be pretty hard to notice any difference between the response on windows 7, as in my case, so far it's been instantenious smile.png

It's really not hard when you use it for quite some time. Also do you have both an i7 and i5 you're making comparisons with?

Yep, I have both i5 and i7.

Which specifically?

Get 140mm fans if your case supports it (the 750D supports it I'm sure) (corsair quiet edition or the noctua ones you've chosen). Remember to make sure they use four pin connectors.

Change the seagate out for a Caviar Blue Western digital 7200RPM 1tb HDD. I have a black and green atm, blacks noisy as fuck and the greens slow as fuck unless you disable the option where it stops spinning and just raid 10 them but then you may as well go for a blue. Western Digital gg Seagate but seagates good ofc just for the price your spending I'd go for a better HDD.

Get the AMD 280x if that's your budget for the graphics card. If you really want a Nvidea graphics card get the 770 or a second hand 680. If you don't mind spending $550 get the AMD R9 290x when it comes out soon.

I'd go for a dif monitor but it's up to you (wide variety so I won't comment on one).

The Corsair 750D is a nice case but it isn't necessarily the case I'd go for personally for this build, your not crossfiring/sli'ing cards etc. I'd personally go for the Cooler master storm scout 2 (white) (and get the corsair fans and put the little white ring around them), it's not as good a case but you don't need a huge case or anything.

yeah I will, I'm changing fans around anyway, it has 2 120mm up front, I think 2 140mm at the bot when I remove harddrive cages (which I am going to do), probably going to do the H100i in push-pull, so that's another 4, and then theres another one at the back tongue.png I'm looking for some black/blue silence optimized ones, so if you know any then that'd be great!

I'll look into HDD's soon, thanks for the info!

yeah I might get the 770, I've been thinking about it for quite a while now, since appart from rendering etc. I might aswell game alot with this beast tongue.png

if you could point out why, so I can look into better ones myself tongue.png what do I need to pay attention too etc. etc.

eww, white. nty, I like the looks of this case alot, I know for sure that the H100i fits this one in push-pull, and I'm not going to stick with stock fans anyway wink.png

thanks alot for al your detailed information, and I hope I didn't sound like a dick when repleing to your post, I realy appriciated it all biggrin.png

Fans:

Sounds good, remember to use air flow and static pressure fans appropriately i.e. Corsair h100i = air flow exhausts static pressure intakes, air flow intakes/exhausts case. The only fans I pay attention to are the Corsair/Noctua ones. You can spray paint them the colour you want if your willing to do that.

HDDs:

Np, you can also cache (cache partition?) some of your SSD to improve the overall speed of your HDD. Personally, I'd go for a 250GB SSD and 1TB HDD even if that means getting a not as good SSD and HDD. Or get a small SSD and just RAID 10 two HDDs. Regardless, theirs a few routes you can take.

GPU:

Sounds good, the 770 is a nice card.

Monitor:

I'm going to be leaving out a lot of information here because it's a big topic which I'm not 100% confident in (like how I did with the motherboard) but generally speaking the main things you've got to look out for is: colour depth, contract ratio (?), response time, resolution, adjust ability (i.e. if you like moving your monitor around), ports (if you want to use your monitor as a hub etc) and the hertz (forgot the word but it's something like that) of the monitor i.e. 60 hz = 60 fps actually outputted from the monitor. No point in getting 2x titans in sli if you've only got a 60 hz monitor for example.

Case:

You can get it in black too, I think it looks nice in white though. The H100i fits in a push/pull config in the storm scout 2 too. Regardless, the case is your choice because that's what your looking at not what I'm looking at :3. They're are quite a few good options out their though. Personally I went for a Fractal Design Define R4 which is a pretty nice case. It weighs a frikking ton (it's putting holes in the bottom of my computer desk atm) and it's huge which is a good thing for your parts etc but is awful for finding space (I had to break the printer tray of my desk to fit it in) haha.

Npnp, I'm glad I can help; I love talking about hardware! You didn't sound like a dick dw smile.png.

I like this config.. It will run a tons of bots and you will be able to play good games on high fps :D I have the same psu for a bit lower config. Don't you think 650 w will be a bit few?

Nice, I just bought the new Macbook Pro. Was going to get a custom built pc, but opted for a mac got it for $2,600.

Very niice mate. Thought about most things.
Lovely screen as well.
If I am to nitpick a bit, I'd get 2x8 GB ram, instead of so many 4's.
Just to be awesome.
Also, could aim for a screen with 1ms response.
