Dropping Out

Featured Replies

Don't. A lot of teachers are fucking sadists who abuse the rights you won't have until you're 18.

I transferred my freshmen year, and this teacher wants to argue with me over giving me this packet that he never gave me. And I have most of the class saying that he didn't give it to me either. And I just transferred, these other students have no reason to support me, they don't even know me! Anyways he gave me a F for that assignment, but I still made a fucking B in class.

You make 30% more with a High School diploma over the course of your lifetime than you would if you got your G.E.D.

College graduates make roughly 1,000,000$ more than someone with a High School diploma over the course of their life.

Heavily consider these facts before proceeding. You're all sitting here saying "fuck school" and other variations of it, but if it weren't for the very institution you're disregarding- you wouldn't be reading this right now. You'd even more of a blabbering, ignorant waste of natural resources than most humans already are.

i dropped out in grade 11,

been trying to get a job since.

i've been trying to get a job for 2 years and haven't gotten one, it's bloody shit.

so now i've studying a Diploma in I.T.

i wouldn't drop out.

Don't.

Captain Bad-Response strikes again.

If you're serious about dropping out, organise an apprenticeship for a trade before doing so.

Should i drop out of school? I'm a senior and i'm in some shitty "alternative school". I was suppose to only stay 9 weeks (45 days) but i got wrote up for the stupidest shit. "refusal to get under desk during a earthquake drill" I'm 6 foot fucking 4 and couldn't fit under the desk so they wrote me up for this. I'm not learning anything in highschool and don't plan on going to college honestly.

I'm seriously fed up with it i'm considering dropping out and just starting a buisness.

Yeah just get your GED if you do, i dropped out when i was a senior cuz i was out living on my own already with roommates

Got my GED by taking 10 tests

If you are 100% sure and I do mean 100% sure that you don't plan on going to college, then drop out and start working. I don't advise this, but really up to you.

Finish school. Your teachers may be dicks but what are they gonna do, hit you? It's not the 60's anymore, they can't do shit but yell. Plus, and I'm not calling you dumb, but you have to be a semi intelligent person to create a successful business. The reason there's a whole lot of poor people and a small amount of rich people is because its harder then it looks.

Schools are corrupt these days. I am a Sophomore and I can't wait till I get out of HS. If that Alternative School is bad try finding another, if that doesn't work out, drop out.

Man, schools have always been corrupt and always will be. That's just the world we live in..

I agree 100% with this statement.

Running a business is not as easy as it looks on TV.

Why not stay in high school and run a business at the same time? (I'm doing this atm)
