Try it out and see what happens. If you have low defence you're probably better off using regular armor.

 

Your going to need a high defense level or you are going to be using a lot of food, which will affect your xp/hour.

hell yeah it'll help you at ankous get it enchanted i think enchanted is 20% and un enhanted is 15%
