Should the Graphic Designer rank be extended to those who:

• Have a vast knowledge of graphics
• Are willing to actively help
• Deserve the rank

 

I don't believe the rank should be given to users with only these 3 properties:

• Deserve the rank

They could have all 3 however without the skill and knowing how to apply your knowledge you cannot possibly create great graphics.

 

I suggest adding a third point:

 

• Show skillful abilities and techniques when creating graphics

What I'm trying to say is, I could read up hours of tutorials and guides on how to use common graphic programs including Cinema 4D and Photoshop however if I cannot apply them and create good lucking graphics the knowledge is pointless.

That's such a vague point. If the quality of the '50 orders' is poor then why would the rank be issued to the user if they do not want to put effort into their work.

Well if you have knowledge thats all you need. I'm 95% sure if you have vast knowledge on a subject, you have some level of experience and ability.

The name of the rank is undefined. 'Graphic Designer' to me sounds like someone who just makes graphic work.

 

You sound like you're referring to 'Graphic Guru' or 'Picasso'.

I get what you're trying to say however I have a different view. I guess we will leave it a that.

My post was deleted, ok. 

The reason only DarkzSide only had the designer rank is because the administrators never reached out to other designers for PiP's and such. Instead they act like DarkzSide is overall better then anyone on this forum. Which isn't true.

 

I'm not getting my SOTW Rank because I supposedly got it when I was chatbox assistant and it had no PiP because the administrators didn't branch out to any other designer until now. So there goes my hard work.

I think that being able to teach other people graphics should be a requirement if this is going to be implemented
