I run 5 bots at a time, I've gotten ban several times just recently. I don't think they flag your IP I play and bot my main account on the same IP as my other gold farming bots. 

They do flag IP's.

 

They banned all 6 of my gold-farming accounts.  

I say they don't flag IP. They banned 3 out of my 8 goldfarming bots.

Banned in total 29 of my accounts in 2 days, while my merchers were running 24/7, and still are with no bans, my 4 merchers were the only one's that survived, other 29 were spread around a few methods.

 

Not all bans are from IP, i think alot of them are but pretty sure 07's botwatch was greatly improved in the passed week, wouldn't be surprised if the 20 fresh accounts i made today  are banned by monday/tuesday.

 

OT: You could always buy a cheap 192MB or so VPS, and turn it into a VPN with OpenVPN. Some VPS providers also include free IP switches, and i've seen 150MB or so servers go for like 10$/year.
