high population lag

Featured Replies

Why does the bot lag so hard in w1? usually I can run up to 8-10 bots at once, but if I'm botting 1 account in world 1 it lags super hard. Its not any certain script either, it lags before i even start a script. and yes I'm updated with the latest java and client.

Hmmmm... Maybe because there are 2000 people. Also in varrock west there are 500 people spamming auto typers lol...

vwest is hard lag area even on regular 07 website

Well it's hard to figure out a way to help you since you haven't given any useful information in your first post, obviously people would start guessing, so think yourself before you tell other people not to post..

I told people I can run 10 bots on my computer smoothly and they start saying it's my computer, sweet logic. sorry I don't know much about scripting or code yet so I can't tell you anything since there is no errors in the log. Please gtfo my post :) if you're not going to contribute to trying to figure out the problem.

Does your web browser lag just as hard on W1 with same graphics settings?

Log in and see.

no it doesnt lag in a normal browser, only in the bot client. I figured out a semi-solution though, instead of having 3 bots on 1 client I just opened up 3 different clients and its running fine for now, sometimes it takes  awhile for the lag to kick in though, like it will just pop up randomly and start lagging super hard. so we will see how it goes.

Ahh that helps then!

I think each java app is limited to a certain amount of RAM it can use.

I believe it's called heap size.

If you go to your control panel and into your java settings here:

edXPdqK.png

You can add a command to increase the amount of RAM allowed.

You can adjust it by using adding this Runtime Parameter:

appletXmx.png

The number (512M in this case) being the amount of RAM maximum to allocate.

Hope that helps, just my guess.
