Script Failure to Load problem

Featured Replies

Quick question.

Why isn't my script able to load when all my syntax is correct? I am using notepad++ with groovy imported which is showing me no errors at all nor any missing semicolons or whatever else you can throw at me. What are the most common errors that cause this? Thanks.

Groovy doesn't show all errors, use java. On Eclipse, I've noticed with Groovy that not all errors are shown, or you're missing the manifest.

Alright but are there any restrictions compared between using groovy or java with the bot? Because it seems like the whole scripting foundation for the bot is leaning on using groovy for best compatibility which I don't want to lose out on java.

Not at all actually, groovy is basically java but it's a compiled version of a .java script (yes I know a bit confusing), and osbot is not on groovy's side  at all, it was used so devs can test and scripters can test faster, and for adding scripts too. I believe that's the reason.

I will look into re-building my java setup but for now, after countless hours of proofreading my code, i have just fixed my errors and it has shown up on my script list correctly now. Phew.
