Jannickz
Looking for guides and tips for New World beginners? The New World internal beta has ended and all progress has been deleted. The players are now playing for the upcoming public beta and the release date of the New World so that they can get back into the new MMO and upgrade their characters. If you've never played the beta before, you're at a disadvantage when it comes to figuring out how to upgrade quickly and deciding which New World weapons are worth the time invested. On the whole, it's easy to learn, but there are a few tips for beginners that can improve your experience starting a mission in Aeternum. Please note, however, that these tips are based on the beta version of the game and may not apply There is one thing you should know before you log in for the first time: After completing the tutorial, you will be randomly generated on one of the four starting beaches in four different areas and spend the first 12 or so levels there. So if you want to play with a friend you may find yourself separated from them at the beginning of the game - check out our guide on how to play with a friend in the New World to avoid this. Now you're ready to join in - everything you need to know is here. Most of the controls are self-explanatory, but you may be overlooking something. To retrieve your items, select them and press the "S" key. Hold the left button to steer and throw yourself - this is how you can heal yourself with the stick of life. Press 'U' in a settlement or safe area to tag yourself for PvP Press 'Y' to choose a location for your warehouse; press 'E' to build it We also recommend turning on the "Show cooldowns for additional skills" game setting, as this will display a radial timer in the center of the screen that tells you when your skills will be available again. Players cook in the ovens in the New World When you return to a settlement, store your resources in the storage shed, and you can sell them for New World coins also - the currency in game. If you are doing crafting in a particular settlement, you will automatically use the resources in that city's storage shed. However, if you travel to another settlement, your resources will be left behind. However, if both settlements are under your faction's control, you can pay to have your camp moved to a different allied settlement. You can increase the weight you can carry in your inventory by equipping a satchel. These can be crafted at the equipment station using the Armor skill. We recommend that you make a Rough Leather Adventurer's Satchel as soon as possible. You will need 45 coarse leather, 25 linen and 10 iron bars. With the "Common Materials Converter" in the Faction Shop you can convert common craft materials into one another. In beta, it is actually more efficient to buy cross-weave at the trading post and convert it into all the popular crafting materials you need, since cross-weave is the cheapest common crafting material - and it may also be in public beta and when it is released be the case. Do you want to find out how to make linen? First you have to find the cannabis. So go to the map and select "Resource locations" on the left - there you can see the type of cannabis spawn area. Harvest the hemp with a scythe and work the fibers into flax on a loom. As you improve your gathering ability, you will be able to track down certain items - the higher your level in each skill, the further away you can spot them. Free resources like milk and leather are available every day in every settlement your faction controls. You can see all the trading posts of any settlement and decide whether it is worth traveling to another settlement for the best price. If you want to know how to make fish fillets in the New World, it's very simple: you can salvage a fish from your inventory. There is also the possibility of obtaining fish oil from the fish that have been recovered. Edited October 12, 2021 by Jannickz
