Injected/Mirror Client vs Instance - Ban rates

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to touch upon a topic that is of interest to me and the way I bot.

As you all may know there a couple mainstream bot providers like OSBOT and others. Nonetheless the major difference I see is that in some like OSBOT it works with injection/mirror where it plays Runescape within its own Executable and others like R*****te have their own dashboard but you open the original client of osrs to bot (instance). Given that apparently Jagex can detect if you are using 3rd party client I wonder why dont all providers of botting services move to the instances one where you play on original runescape client. Is the ban rate lower ? The same? Or higher?

Would appreciate your feedback and apologies if my terminology is not 100%  accurate,

Thanks

Well, to my understanding, Mirror mode "hooks" on to the original osrs client, so it does use the osrs client that jagex provides. in my history of botting it provides a lower ban rate in my opinion. I don't think there is any concrete evidence on which is technically better, but For me I prefer to use mirror mode. Stealth injection is still very good, especially if suicide botting IMO. Don't have to worry about multiple osrs clients etc.

Mirror uses JVM reflection. In essence, it creates a second instance of the JVM, where it injects itself into the 'mirrored' version of the game. Mirror mode hooks onto a reflection of the official client. This makes it easier to work with as you can do whatever you please without really altering jagex that you're using a 'modified client'. Where as injection, is just injecting code into the client which sends back information that is needed for the bot to function (player info, npc's, objects etc)
