Dedicated problem

Featured Replies

Hello! I just bought a dedicated server. I have a big problem, the staff said the dedicated server is not for video processing so probably have a small videoram and if I start osbot and runescape it gets horrible fps and the rdp is even lagging. If I put it down to the desktop then its fast again. Then how could I monitor my bots without freezeing them or something else?

i have the same problem with osbot atm. fps just drops horribly when rs is up.

thats because you have other programs running lol if you do use osbot close programs

No I don't.... I said its video problem not cpu or ram, think before saying something

There are different types of dedicated servers. There is server grade hardware, and desktop grade hardware. For a lot of servers they use server grade hardware, go figure. But let me go more in-depth.

Server grade: Basically saying that they're using specific setups created for cooling and air flow. They usually use different hardware as motherboard, so it can limit overheating which potentially stops you from view graphics. These graphics as simple as can be can kill any fps.

Desktop grade: This is when the hardware would be ready to used as any normal day desktop. It may not necessarily mean a tower itself but something that performs like it. With this you'd be able to run runescape easily.

You always need to ask your provider beforehand whether or not they support desktop grade hardware, if not move your business to another.

i know exactly what you mean, i have the same problem

however, the lag on the RDP itself is just from your connection. The VPS where ever it is located at is not experiencing the same lag you are recieving.

The fps however, is the same as what it says on the top left corner of OSBot

I got a new VPS recently, send me a PM if your interested i can get you up and running on it in no time. I dont need to access it at all, nor do i need any of your passwords. It would be YOUR VPS. im just saying so you dont think this is some scam attempt.

I just joined OSBot today, however im big on other sites and have many vouches, just trying to be as helpful as i can be to the community. :)

Thanks for both of you, and for the offer but I not like to do business on VPS anymore! They said they not support video hardwares so I moved to other dedicated hosting which is much better! i5 processor 3.1 ghz and 8gb ram.

Connection lag is really low, I use VNC because the OS is Ubuntu and no FPS lag! smile.png

Now I have an other problem sad.png, if I close all the bot with accounts added to the auto login manager then it's just disappears. Its not get saved or what.

What can I do? Possibly I not chmod-ed the osbot directory where he saves the login details or what can I do?

Thanks again.

When you say server grade hardware you mean workstation grade hardware. They don't neccasarily use workstation based designs likewise with desktops, i.e. the new 1230v3 xeon cpu's run (very popular workstation/server cpu) on the lga 1150 socket like the i7 4770k does.

'Desktop grade' servers still are configured the same, their is no difference apart from they use consumer grade parts i.e. i3/i5/i7 rather than xeons for example. They have no graphics card etc.

Anyways ontopic @ the op

Hosting things don't need gpu's (and not too much cpu power hence why a lot of vps's are 1/2core) because they don't need to render things etc so they use APU's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerated_processing_unit) that are on the cpu. Judging by your 3.1ghz i5 I'd say you have the very first revision of i5 cpu which means your apu is very old and weak hence why you are getting a bad fps. If you look up benchmarks you'll notice a huge power difference between generations of the apu's released.

You will never get a dedicated server that holds a candle to a normal home desktop for botting but that's to be expected as gpu's are sooo much more powerful than apu's lol.

Actually you can get much stronger server CPU's which will fuck a desktop CPU many times.

You're saying video hardware right, the problem is you didn't set it up correctly, you need to I stall VNC and a GUI.

viewing the bots will always cause lagg, unless you turn down your VNC settings.

Osbot has a huge ass memory leak.

07 is more dependant on CPU usage.
