Hi,

So I'm just below the legal age whereby I can have PayPal/credit card (I normally pay for RS membership by paybySMS).

Does anyone know how I can buy gold by some route not requiring a card or being 18 (e.g. do some gold sellers accept gift cards or whatever)?

You buy it off people from this forum for paypal, and sometimes crypto as well. Good luck mate.
