Is it possible to put in another payment gateway?

 

Me and paypal really don't get along too well and it would we awesome to get some other forms of payment. 

 

E.g Stripe

I know this but as a Web Developer who knows a fair amount about different payment gateways and api's i just dont understand why we are stuck in the dark ages here.

Yes, what I meant is that quite a lot of users have already suggested this in the past and it would be most useful for even myself.
