Skype unresponsive after roughly 1min startup

as the title says my skype is acting up and becoming unresponsive after about 1min of login

i cannot click on anything on skype, including the application itself and it just "dings" and does nothing

i have the latest skype version, i also tried downloading the last version to see if that changed anything

nothing.

anybody have any suggestions? potential fix?

windows, its a 2011 Hp laptop, kinda a turd but works for what i need 

scapin and videos

but i use skype a lot for my services thread (starting up on here, but on other sites aswell)

reformat your computer wipe everything off and start fresh (new install of windows)

im all set

i deleted every file associated with skype and redownloaded it

havent had an issue since so fingers crossed
