flexike Posted October 15, 2017 Share Posted October 15, 2017 So i want to build a new pc. What i got. MB: Asus ROG Strix B250G(1151) CPU Cooler: CM MasterLiquid 240 Lite GPU: R9 380 2GB. So i need some help about what to buy. I7-7700k + 16gb DDR4 2400mhz ram Or I5-7500 + GTX 1050 + 16 GB DDR4 2400mhz ram Price is almost the same. angermidet1 Posted October 15, 2017 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Heads up, if your'e getting an i5, you won't need the liquid cooler. Use that money to upgrade from the 1050 to the 1060. I'm rocking the i7 4790k with the 1060 and it's absolute beastmode. Just make sure you get an ssd to run your major applications on. I cheaped out on my hdd and it bottlenecks me so hard. Going down to i5 isn't worth it, and once you have the money to upgrade you better upgrade the GPU and not the CPU, it will be overall cheaper because you already have the current GPU.
