hi guys

kinda new around here,

but im trying to run the bot on a vps but im getting an "unsupported major.minor version 52.0" error.

i've googled the error, and from what i learned its because the bot was compiled with java 1.8

and the java version i've got installed is only 1.7

 

problem is that the most up-to-date version available for my package manager is 1.7, and there's no way to get 1.8, it seems.

soo...am i fucked? or do you guys know of a way to get version 1.8 on a vps?

or maybe a way to run the bot on 1.7 ?
