Retrying in 5 seconds...

Featured Replies

I'm sure many of you have had this issue as well, and frankly I am extremely surprised this hasn't been changed yet. When OSBot goes offline the client tries to reconnect to the remote server, as it should. The problem with this is that it for some reason feels the need to try to reconnect every 5 seconds. Maybe it doesn't for everybody, but this causes a lot of lag.

Does the client need to attempt to reconnect every 5 seconds? certainly not. Even every 1 minute would a bit excessive. Why not have the user decide on how frequently it should retry or maybe increase the timer to a few minutes.

User defined setting makes the most sense to me. Either way, the exception that is thrown by the remote server connection failure should be caught and not written to the console.

Check your internet connection

Thanks, I will look into that. What should i be looking into exactly, the ethernet cables? I checked my modem already but there were too many lights blinking so I had to turn it off.

No blinking lights neighbours, no blinky-blinky!

I agree, although it doesn't make me lag, but I can see how it could be a problem. I think a custom reconnect-interval would be nice implemented. kwgc6Oz.gif
