Bought Accounts - Accounts Recovered

Explanation: Bought 25 accounts off him. Bonded all 20 out of the 25, leaving me with 5. After a few days of farming on them they were all recovered, leaving me with a loss of the accounts, 9 days remaining on the bond membership & the items that were on the account, although as they're not in my possession I unfortunately can't prove the amount that was on there (was around 1m/acc.)

Evidence: I'm not sure what to provide. The email and passwords have been changed and I can't access them as they were fresh level 3's bought from his shop and I sorted them for farming manually. The only way I can think I can prove their members is by a method I use to farm, but I'd like to keep this secret so will speak to a mod if it comes to it?

He has mentioned that the script he was using was messing up, giving multiple people the same account. So I assume someone's been given mine and they've removed it as I didn't bother setting a recovery email as I trusted Montana.

Hey,

Can confirm this has happened.

My script has screwed up recently with the DC's/Lag/ Printing multiple to my database/,txt files.

I've offered to replace the accounts with garunteed safe ones; as I have now sorted the issue my end.

Script also printed locked accounts to active; for some reason.

Hope we can get this resolved.

Thanks,

But how were he accounts recovered? Do you still have access to the accounts you gave him?

Also, placed in TWC until resolved as I do believe similar things have happened before.

My .txt files printed accounts more than once > so I accidently sold some accounts to other people. This has since been resolves and I've replaced everyone's accounts.

The accounts I gave him don't have a reg email; and I delete after sale. I don't have acsess to them; nor do I know their creation IP/anything.

Simply throw away accounts with no reg email; so I have no idea how recoevered as after sale I no longer have acsess to the accounts.

I don't believe they were recovered; I believe they had password changed by whichever user got there first (out of the 2).

This is understandable as the password were like [removed], etc.

Thanks.

Can you check who the second person you gave the accounts to were? Because they should be involved as well. It would make more sense if a portion of the 25 accounts were recovered, but all of them is quite a few mistakes.

@HeyImJamie please provide the skype logs with the usernames/passwords that were provided by Montana.

We will hide the evidence so only mods  can see it.

[hidden evidence]

There's the accounts I was given. I've made a mistake in claiming all the accounts were recovered as I've just found one that isn't (Apologies for claiming they were - I'm currently undertaking a firefighters recruit course so I'm knackered, and coming back to every account I started with Invalid Password didn't put me in the best spirits, so I instantly disputed. So, I'm going to go through them all again tomorrow hopefully (if you need me too, or you can check yourselves as the passwords should all be the same as that list as I haven't changed them.) and will get you any print screens you need on those, if you require them. Is there anything else you need?

After reviewing the evidence provided by both sides, it's clear that not all of the accounts have been recovered, and we don't have enough evidence to prove the ones with changed passwords weren't changed by you.

Out of the 25 accounts this is what we've found:

  • 1 Account was banned (yesterday)
  • 12 Accounts do not have the same passwords, and we do not have any evidence of who changed them
  • 11 Accounts have the same passwords and were not recovered

So, Jamie, it appears you weren't completely telling the truth when it comes to the accounts, by accident or on purpose, I'm not sure.

In Montana's Terms of Service, the accounts are your responsibility after 12 hours, and you failed to secure them properly, so we cannot do anything unless another user comes out and says he was provided the same accounts you were provided.

Until then, I'll close the dispute and remove Montana from TWC.

Does that rule of his not become void when it's clear he's been giving out a single account to multiple people? - Whichever way it's looked at there are still some others that will have been scammed because of his inability to check before selling accounts.

Thats the last I have to say as I appreciate I was negligent when it came to securing the accounts, although there's no other way for anyone to have gained those passwords. (It's also easy to remove the message with the account info that was shared and hen continue on to search, claiming nothing was ever sent.) but again, I can see that's hard to prove so if this is the decision I have to go with so be it. Although please take into consideration what's mentioned above.

My fault for not closing the dispute already, but in this case it doesn't appear he gave an account to multiple people. Unless you can prove otherwise, or he finds that he did, I can't change anything. If he did, then his rule does become void.

Montana will need to take extra precautions in the future to make sure he doesn't provide any accounts multiple times because if he does, he will be responsible. If you do find proof that he provided these accounts multiple times, open a new dispute.
