do knights sword, then smith iron 2h swords until 35,

no, iron is faster. You unlock 1 steel bar smithing and then 2 steel bar smithing, iron is faster still

Another method you can do is iron nails, not sure if its faster or slower than what Jack suggested.

Iron nail smithing is ~21k smithing exp an hour,

Iron 2H smithing is ~57k smithing exp an hour.

 

The rates I gave for exp/h includes bank time (varrock west) and includes closing level up interfaces. That is why they are less than the rates you will find on google.
