It's a decent 10 minutes read but it's absolutely fascinating what GS was able to get away with.

 

TL;DR Basically Goldman cheesed Libya for an unbelievable amount of money through trading premiums, and eventually lost them $1.2B and now Libya has taken them to court.

 

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Kinda crazy how they can get away with such a ridiculous move though. It's also interesting that GS is letting it go through court and become public, a better option would have been to settle out of court.
