Need help with proxies

Hey guys, it seems as though every time I try to run the bot with a proxy, it will fail to grab etc. from runescape or something, or it will simply freeze.   I've tried several different proxies, could someone help me with this?  Or it would be great if someone could explain how to change my IP address through a mac

refer me to somewhere to get said proxy, i googled it, nothing useful came up except free ones
