You can't run the mirror client on a linux vps If you use the regular client I would suggest you to buy some proxy! Or message the guy you got the vps from to change the IP (Usually costs 1-3$)

My experience regarding botting is that the home IP is the best one to go. If it comes to bans. And about hotspot shield you use, I think you can choose between 4 locations and most IP's are shared. Let's say we both get the same IP, I get mass banned and the IP is flagged, chances are high that you will also take a damage

About xbox vs ps4 ( to be honest I think they are the same, choose the same console as your friends have )

If you do a lot on the computer, i would go with a gaming PC. If you prefere consoles and you have a good TV, I would go with PS4 or Xbox1. I think they are both very good. I have a ps4 and I am happy with it, never played xbox though. Games I recommend for ps4: - Far Cry 4 - GTA V (online is great) - Mortal Combat X (not out yet at my place)
