This is true, although the depressed effect is usually only noticed when used frequently and/or at high dosages. I always pre-load with 5-HTP (a metabolic precursor to seratonin), Vitamin C, and Piracetam; and I usually experience an afterglow effect for 2-3 days where I have elevated mood and energy level.
