Not true, you can get macro major/gold farming ban and be perm banned instantly. Most of us are so relaxed about bans because we bot for money on accounts that aren't our mains. I bot on throwaway accounts, with the expectation that they might all be banned.

Instead of letting these people rip you off; just buy yourself a voucher and apply it. That'll give you a month of VIP.

From personal experience, it does. I've gotten a vps flagged with macro majors. No account I put on it survives for over 12 hours.
